  • Where is the Clansman Harbour?
    By Car: from Inverness, Clansman Harbour is 8 miles from the outskirts of the city on the main A82 south west. From Fort William and Fort Augustus it is 5 miles north east of Drumnadrochit. Parking is courtesy of the Clansman Hotel which is located on the opposite side of the road from the Harbour. Access to the Harbour is via an underpass.

  • What time are your cruises and tours?
    We have options for both cruises and tours with both morning and afternoon departures. You can choose from a 1 hour, 2 hour cruise to a 3.5 hour cruise, or a coach & cruise tour of up to 4 hours incorporating visits to places like the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre or Urquhart Castle - we have a Jacobite Experience for all.
  • Adult price range for a cruise or a tour?
    Adult prices ranges from £10.00 to £32.50 depending on which option you choose. We have concessions for students and seniors on some options and for children on most options. Children younger than five go free and a "child" is from 5 years to 15 years of age. We also have special family tickets on the Jacobite Inspiration and Reflection cruises. Family tickets cover 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16.
  • Do cruises and tours go every day?
    We are an all-year-round attraction and operate every day except Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Please note that some tours do not operate on Boxing Day due to the closure of Urquhart Castle.
  • What are concession prices - children, seniors, disabled/carers etc
    Children under 5 go free. A child is classified as 5 -15 years of age. Carers and those with disabilities are charged a students/seniors rate. A senior is aged 65 or over for both male and female.
  • How far down the Loch do you go?
    We cruise as far as Urquhart Castle which is approximately the widest and most central point of Loch Ness.
  • Are there toilets and refreshments on board?
    There are toilets on board all vessels. We serve hot and cold drinks including alcoholic beverages along with snacks such as shortbread, fruitcake, crisps, confectionery and sandwiches (when available).

  • Do we need to book or can we just turn up?
    Booking is advisable especially at busy periods. Reservations can be taken up to seven days in advance. Why not take advantage of our online booking service to get an even better deal?
  • Can we get a bus to the Clansman Harbour?
    We recommend you use your own transport to get to the Clansman Harbour but for a bus timetable visit Travelline website. Alternatively, why not book one of our convenient coach and cruise tours which will pick up and drop you off at Inverness Bus Station - you may find this is a more convenient option.
  • Do the boats have disabled access?
    We recommend our "Reflection" cruise aboard Jacobite Queen. This boat has good access for wheelchair users, however, you should note that the toilet and snack bar facilities are reached via steep stairs.
  • Can I take my dog on a cruise?
    Yes, well behaved dogs are more than welcome to board the vessels. Unfortunately we cannot allow dogs to travel on Jacobite coaches. Disability assistance dogs are welcome on any of our tours or cruises.
    Dogs aren't allowed in Urquhart Castle and therefore can't be included in Jacobite Freedom.
  • Can I park my car at Clansman Harbour and at Tomnahurich Bridge?
    Yes, there are ample parking facilities at both the Clansman Harbour and Tomnahurich Bridge.
  • What do we do if we see Nessie?
    You are one of the lucky ones so stay very quiet and try to take a picture!
  • Do I get my money back if you cancel sailing due to bad weather?
    Yes, all monies will be refunded if your cruise/tour is cancelled due to bad weather.
