Jacobite Queen
Built
in 1949 by R.W. Hawthorn Leslie at Hebburn on Tyne and named Tyne Queen,
she served as a passenger ferry on the Tyne until 1986. In 1987 she
was acquired by Jacobite Cruises and rebuilt with the traditional lines
of a small steamer. There is accommodation on three decks, all recently
upgraded with central heating and double glazing, giving up to 159
passengers ample choice of covered or on deck seating. The 450HP Volvo
D12 diesel engine gives this 23-metre vessel a service speed of 10.5
knots.
Jacobite Spirit
Jacobite Spirit is of modern design and was added to the fleet in 2003 after an extensive refit which included new twin Volvo D7 turbo diesels which make her very manoeuverable and give speeds up to 10 knots. The accommodation onboard for 94 passengers caters for all tastes, the contemporary interior is well heated and has a light airy feel, the after deck is partially covered or you can enjoy the fresh air on the open upper deck.
The Jacobite Legend
Spring
2006 has seen the introduction of the Jacobite Legend, with futuristic
lines and a sleek appearance the Legend cruise boat is like nothing
ever seen on the Loch before. While her outline may catch the eye,
onboard the Legend’s open plan layout and facilities will
also impress those looking for the perfect venue for meetings and conferences.
This stylish, contemporary vessel can cater for up to 108 passengers
with a cruising speed of 7.5 knots. With these credentials the
Legend is bound to become popular with corporate and group customers
looking for flexibility and inspiration for their delegates.
