About the Cottage
The perfect getaway for small family retreats or couples looking for a romantic break. Situated at Dochgarroch Lock, approximately 4 miles from Inverness City and a stone’s throw away from the Caledonian Canal. We are a one-minute walk from the An Talla shop and the Dochgarroch boat departure point.
This picturesque cottage is equipped with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and a separated dining area with a sofa bed. We can provide an additional fold-out bed, if required. There is also a large back porch perfect for storing sports / outdoor equipment. Towels and bed linen are offered. EV charging is available at The Cottage.

“We stayed 3 nights with our 2 boys. We didn’t expect the cottage to be even nicer than in the photos presented on the website. We thought the photos were maybe filtered. They most definitely were not. The cottage is beautiful, immaculate, practical and high spec. The location was perfect. A short walk to the boat trips and next door to a nice cafe. The views were amazing and the setting was peaceful and idyllic. We will visit again and well worth the 7 hour drive. . Our first trip to the highlands did not disappoint. We loved the exhibition centre just a 15 minute drive away and even took a day trip to Ben Nevis. Would highly recommend the cottage/location.”
