Tour description

Cruise the Loch and view the castle on this 50-minute voyage across the deepest, mysterious waters of Loch Ness. From here, treat those peepers – and your camera – to the breathtaking sight of the historic Urquhart Castle.

Our onboard audio is bursting with lots of facts and legends to tune into as you sail. And don’t forget to look out for Nessie, with a little help from our onboard sonar. The boat will dock briefly at the castle, offering a fantastic opportunity to capture stunning photos of this iconic ruin from the water.

Departure:
The departure point is 9 miles from the Inverness city centre, so requires you to travel by car or taxi. You can find us on google maps - Loch Ness by Jacobite Clansman Harbour, or by using What3Words.

If arriving by cruise ship into Invergordon Cruise Terminal, please note this is not one of our departure points and is approx. 34 miles (55 mins) from our departure point at Clansman Harbour. Public transport is very limited, so you’ll need to arrange your own transport and allow plenty of time to reach us.

Additional information:
Parking facilities are available at the Clansman Hotel. This is free of charge, however, can be limited during peak season. We recommend you arrive 45 minutes before your departure time. There are no bike racks available at The Clansman Hotel. Should you be re-directed to the overflow carpark, this is approx a 15-minute walk, on uneven terrain to the harbour.

A few things to know

CAMERAS AT THE READY

A zoom lens can help you get a closer look at mysteries in the water.

LAYER UP

It’s warm on board, but the deck can get a wee bit windy.

SNACK RESPONSIBLY

Don't feed the monster – Nessie's on a zero litter, gluten-free diet right now!

ROCK SOME BOOTS

They’ll help you keep a good grip in castles and on deck.

PACK A MAC

The Scottish weather can be unpredictable. Raincoats are a no-brainer.

KEEP A TIGHT LEASH

Nessie loves dogs. For dinner. So keep them back from doggy paddling.
