Inverness Fringe is coming aboard Jacobite
We’re welcoming something a little different aboard Jacobite this October, as Inverness Fringe takes to Loch Ness for a special cabaret cruise.
On Sunday 4 October, Highland drag star Venus Guytrap and the Edge of the World Cabaret company will join us for Loch the Day Away - an evening of live cabaret, drag and entertainment, all with Loch Ness as the backdrop.
Cabaret on Loch Ness
Sailing from 5pm to 7.30pm, Loch the Day Away swaps the traditional Fringe venue for a Jacobite cruise, with the show unfolding as we take to the water.
Headlining the evening is Inverness’s own Venus Guytrap, known for live vocals, quick wit and plenty of theatrical flair. Venus will be joined by performers from Edge of the World Cabaret, the company behind the cabaret nights at Upstairs Inverness.
Expect live performance, plenty of sparkle and outside the windows, the hills and waters of Loch Ness.
It’s certainly a little different from your usual Jacobite cruise.
A fitting finale to Inverness Fringe
Taking place on the final day of the festival, Loch the Day Away will round off the first Inverness Fringe in suitably memorable style.
The festival runs from 28 September to 4 October, bringing theatre, comedy, music, cabaret and performance to venues across Inverness. We’re delighted to be part of it – and to be taking the Fringe beyond the city and out onto the loch.
So, come dressed for the occasion, bring a jacket for that Highland October air and join us for an evening of cabaret on Loch Ness.
