Scottish Highlands and Islands are stunning, and we couldn’t agree more!

Best in Travel - Highlands and Islands, Scotland.

Cast your minds back to 2017 when Scotland was voted the most beautiful country in the world by Rough Guides (undeniably true). We felt that energy and it made us want to highlight this gorgeous country and area even more.

Now, making it to the prestigious rating of the 5th country for Best in Travel, Scotland’s Highlands and Islands specifically, earnt its spot.

We asked the team here at Loch Ness by Jacobite – if you were to be removed from Scotland tomorrow, never to return and you could only do one thing – what would it be? So, here you have a list of Team Jacobite’s most loved things to do in Scotland’s Highlands and Islands (insider knowledge, it might be worth taking note!)

Cruise on Loch Ness with Jacobite (of course!)

Ballachulish – have fun saying it, then explore the rugged hillside and breathe in that gorgeous view

Eat seafood from the amazing Seafood Shack in Ullapool

Isle of Harris– because you don’t always need to go abroad for clear blue wild beaches

Roseisle Beach or Lossiemouth with some fish and chips!

Cairngorms

Bag a Munro and watch the sunrise

North Coast 500 (albeit, we’d need more than a day!)

Smoo Cave

Betty Hill

Drive to Glencoe

And there we have it! Team Jacobite's favourite places to see and things to do in the highlands and Islands. Whatever part of Scotland you visit, you are sure to have an amazing time. The people, the atmosphere and that much loved Scottish weather is here to greet you with open arms. So add Scotland to your list of places to visit, you wont be disappointed.
